Founded on Principle

Laura Kuntz established Laurel Wealth Planning in 1999 with a clear purpose: to provide clients with objective financial guidance, free from the conflicts of interest that arise in commission-based, product-driven models. She wanted the freedom to evaluate each client’s complete financial picture and match the right tools to the right situation.

That founding principle—fee-only, fiduciary, client-centered advice—has never changed. It is the foundation on which every client relationship, every planning strategy, and every firm decision has been built.

25 Years of Growth

Laurel Wealth Planning’s growth has been deliberate, steady, and grounded in the quality of client relationships rather than the pace of expansion.

The firm was founded in 1999 with a single advisor and a clear purpose. By 2006, it was consistently serving about 50 client groups. That number grew to 100 by 2014 and stands at more than 170 today. Each milestone reflects the same thing: clients who stay, and clients who refer people they care about.

The Team Behind the Work

The professionals at Laurel Wealth Planning bring together decades of combined experience across financial planning, investment management, tax strategy, and client service. Credentials on the team include CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and Master of Business Taxation, a depth of qualification that shapes how the firm approaches every client relationship.

Several members of the team have built their careers here, growing from associate roles into senior positions over many years. Others joined with deep experience from other firms and brought that perspective with them. They are united by a shared approach: high attention, genuine care, and a team-based model that prevents clients from ever being dependent on a single point of contact.

Marking the Milestone

In September 2024, Laurel Wealth Planning gathered with clients, colleagues, and community members at Edinborough Corporate Center to celebrate 25 years in practice. The evening featured a presentation by Dr. James Gambone, author of ReFire® Your Life!, on longevity planning and the personal dimensions of retirement, along with breakout discussions and time for connection.

The event was a reflection of the relationships at the core of this firm. The support and presence of so many people who have been part of this journey over the years made the milestone especially rewarding.
