Job opening: Financial Planner

We are looking for a highly-dedicated Financial Planner who will partner with our Wealth Managers in serving our clients through comprehensive financial planning & investment monitoring. The Financial Planner plays a key role in providing timely, high-quality advice for our clients and helping leverage Wealth Manager time. They prepare meeting materials for both new and existing clients, including tax projections utilizing Holistiplan and cash flow projections using MoneyGuide Pro. They take the lead in working with clients and our operations team on work plan rollovers and other account transfers. This is an expert/technical position with a career track based on growing expertise and strong results (see “Growth Opportunity” below).  The individual in this position can also move toward the Wealth Manager Track if they bring a client acquisition focus. This position will report to a Senior Wealth Manager/Shareholder and will initially partner with two Wealth Managers in serving clients.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High initiative, drive, and dedication.

  • Possess ability to read and interpret financial information.
  • Working knowledge of financial and economic terminology and concepts.
  • Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills.  Prefer experience with Tamarac, Salentica CRM, and Money Guide Pro (GPM).
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Highly reliable attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal/written skills.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Desire to learn and become an expert.
  • Team player.
  • Adapt well to changing work environment and manages competing demands.
  • Prioritize and plan own work activities. Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Holds Series 65 or Series 7 or is willing to obtain Series 65.


  • 5+ years of experience in the financial planning industry.
  • Tax planning experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree with GPA of 3.5 or higher from a four-year college or university in financial planning, finance, economics, business, or accounting.
  • CFP Certification in process or already obtained.
  • CPA or tax credential a plus.


This is a full-time position that offers substantial benefits.
Base: $75,000-$90,000+, based on experience.
Bonuses: Based on team success.
