Associate Wealth Manager

The Associate Wealth Manager partners with Wealth Managers and our Client Services team in various aspects of client advice and service such as:

  • Prepare review materials for upcoming meetings. Document follow up steps and implement, coordinating with our Client Services team.
  • Leverage state-of-the art applications in advising clients: Money Guide Pro, Holistiplan, Tamarac, FP Pathfinder, Morningstar, etc.
  • Join client meetings, take notes, and present an increasing level of advice.
  • Support new client onboarding through meeting preparation, portfolio and tax analysis, and coordinating account implementation with our Client Services team.
  • Investment analysis and investment recommendations, including trading with the state-of-the art Tamarac rebalancer.
  • Assist with quarterly & annual compliance and operations tasks, including but not limited to: staying on top of annual retirement account contributions and distributions (RMDs), data gathering for year-end tax planning, data gathering for quarterly billing, and data checks for quarterly client reporting.
  • Attend Wealth Manager meetings: monthly financial planning meetings; biweekly investment committee meetings.
  • Other responsibilities as requested.

Growth Opportunity
Over time, this position may lead to the following:

  • Wealth Manager (qualifications below)
    • Earn CFP
    • Deliver 90% of advice for noncomplex clients and 60% for complex
    • Serve least complex LWP clients on “solo” basis
  • Senior Wealth Manager

  • Self-directed/strongly motivated:  Owns own productivity, focus, and effectiveness whether remote or in office.
  • Income tax preparation experience preferred (LWP does not prepare returns but does consult on tax planning opportunities). 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in financial planning, finance, economics, business, or accounting. If liberal arts degree, financial credentials such as Series 65 license, CFP, or CFA. EA (enrolled agent) or CPA preferred.
  • Academic excellence reflected in your GPA (3.5 or higher).
  • At least 3 years of investment or financial planning industry experience. Experience in trading and investment analysis preferred.
