We’re thrilled to welcome Samantha Quady to the Laurel Wealth Planning team as our summer intern!
Samantha is a junior at Loyola University Chicago, where she’s majoring in mathematics and minoring in studio art—an uncommon but powerful combination of logic and creativity. She brings both precision and imagination to everything she does, which fits beautifully with our firm’s thoughtful, client-centered approach.
What drew Samantha to Laurel Wealth Planning? She said she was inspired by our dedication to helping women make empowered financial decisions and the holistic way we approach planning. “I’m excited to gain exposure to the many aspects of financial planning and contribute meaningfully to the team,” she shares. That alignment was clear right from the start; during her interview, she asked insightful, well-considered questions that showed us how deeply she was already thinking about the real-world impact of financial planning.
Outside of the classroom, Samantha plays on Loyola’s Women’s Club Rugby team and enjoys painting and drawing. These interests balance her analytical side with a creative outlet—something we admire, as we believe the best advisors blend both technical expertise and emotional intelligence.
Our team quickly recognized the qualities that set Samantha apart. “She brings clarity, curiosity, and confidence,” says Natalie Nelson, who helped lead the hiring process. Felix and Katie were equally impressed by Samantha’s professionalism, leadership experience as a team treasurer, and genuine enthusiasm to grow as part of a collaborative team.
At Laurel Wealth Planning, we take great pride in mentoring the next generation of financial professionals, especially those who share our values: doing the right thing for the right reason, caring deeply about people, and taking the time to really understand what matters most to each individual. Samantha embodies that spirit, and we’re so glad to have her with us this summer.
Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
