Natalie Nelson
Client Service Specialist
“I have always enjoyed working with people and helping them in some way. I’m especially interested right now in helping people find balance in their lives, which has been difficult in recent years.”
When you visit or call Laurel Wealth Planning, you are likely to be greeted Natalie Nelson, who plays a critical role in fulfilling client needs.
Natalie joined the LWP team in 2021 after finishing graduate school at Western University in Ontario, Canada. During undergraduate and graduate school, she worked in several jobs that had customer service at their heart.
She was attracted to her position at Laurel Wealth Planning because of the emphasis on serving each client and meeting their individual needs. She loves working with a team that is devoted to the company values and that fosters an empowering atmosphere.
Natalie, who comes from a very musical family, studied opera as part of her double major at Luther College in Iowa and during her master’s program. Since moving to Minneapolis, she has begun to act in films and train in stage combat techniques. She has received certifications in single sword and knife from the Society of American Fight Directors and she is now training for a certification in rapier and dagger.
In addition to music and acting, she loves books and puzzles. She has written short stories, poems, and a few songs, and she enjoys reading just about every genre. One of her favorite things to do with friends or family is to seek out escape rooms, and she has completed about 15 so far.
Natalie took up running as a hobby in 2020. She put herself to the test in August 2021 by running a Ragnar, where teams of 12 run a relay of 200 miles from St. Paul to Duluth. In August 2023, she completed her second Ragnar, and she plans to make it an annual event.
Natalie grew up in River Falls, Wisconsin. She currently lives in Linden Hills with her roommate, Amanda, and her adorable but fiendish cat, Fenris.
