Anne M. Ward, CFP®AIF® MPAS® CRPC®

Senior Wealth Manager / Shareholder

“I knew from a young age I wanted to help others. I’ve been fortunate enough to blend my interests into a career I’m passionate about. Being able to work alongside a client to help them prepare for life’s experiences—sending a child to college, buying a home, successfully transitioning into retirement—is one of my greatest joys.”

Growing up, Anne Ward was interested in many subjects, including teaching, counseling, and finance. Anne began to strengthen each interest to provide the most comprehensive service to clients. She teaches financial principles to her clients, so not only will they have a better understanding of the overall strategy, but through her teachings can agree with or question the recommended wealth planning tactics.

“Since each plan is tailored specifically to each client, I don’t want clients to just take my word for it,” says Anne. “I really want them to be empowered to be an active participant in the financial planning process.”

Anne is an excellent listener and an advocate for her clients. As a sounding board, Anne assists her clients through the personal and emotional questions money often creates. Since Anne never wants her clients to feel discouraged by money regardless of any challenge, she focuses to support each of them by helping make modifications to their plan to achieve their goals. In the end, Anne wants to bring reassurance, humor, and light to help her clients determine how to use and grow their money to achieve what is most important to them.

“I am blessed to be a part of a profession where I can carefully put the pieces of advice together to help fashion what to me feels like a customized mosaic that supports how my client is trying to create their life,” says Anne.

Anne joins LWP with more than 20 years of financial planning and investment experience. She is responsible for serving clients, as well as being a valuable part of the leadership team as our Chief Operating Officer. Anne has high standards and a keen eye for leveraging the strengths and skills of others to maximize a client’s outcome. She shares, “I think Laurel Wealth Planning’s values offer an important commitment both to clients and team members. Serving clients at a high standard is deeply important to me.” Anne’s goal, working alongside LWP’s other partners, is to help move the firm forward for many years to come.

Anne graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and investments and minors in accounting and Spanish. She also holds a Master of Science in personal financial planning, which expands her knowledge to serve her clients better.

As a lifelong learner, Anne is dedicated to this profession and believes in investing in a variety of high-quality education. She has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), and Master Planner Advanced Studies (MPAS®) designations.

Anne is much more than her credentials. In addition to her passion for her career, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, son, and three dogs. Her hobbies include attending her children’s activities (lacrosse, hockey, dance, and horseback riding) and exercising.

In addition, she is passionate about serving her community. Anne’s desire to serve others began in high school, during an impactful mission trip to an orphanage in Mexico. Since then, she committed to volunteer and gave back to those in need. Anne provides youth mentorship and plans a monthly volunteer service project for teen girls to allow them to impact the communities in which they live. She also serves as treasurer of a nonprofit board and is an active leader and member of her church.
